Craftivism

On this page you can find worksheets for craft activities. Each worksheet includes a list of materials and step by step instructions, and you can check out the exhibition-in-a-box page or the MenoMakers instagram for more inspiration.

We promote creativity during conversations about menopause. Craft can improve wellbeing and build confidence, creative activities develop and deepen connections within groups, and we benefit from learning new skills. We think of this as ‘craftivism’ because through making and talking we aim to initiate and normalise menopause conversations, combat stigma and open welcoming and confidential spaces to exchange knowledge and expertise.

Here are a few ideas for activities to start you off. If you decide to introduce other activities that’s great! But remember to keep them accessible for all abilities, and repetitive activities can be particularly therapeutic.
